Down to bidness
Blood Donation
Just this past Friday I went and got my blood sucked for the second time
It all went smoothly and I was pumping it out like no tomorrow. Oh, and afterwards I stooged my way into getting my fav chips n' gravy.
Artistic shiz
I haven't had all that much time lately but I'm hoping that may change soon
Vector stuff
I'm planning to enter a comp being run by the ever talented ChewedKandi with guest judge CrisVector. I don't really care for the prizes, I want to enter for the experience, to go against some of the best Vector artists this wonderful site has to offer. I will fail, miserably at that, but it will get me to push myself above and beyond, that is where progress is made chewedkandi.deviantart.com/art…
Also I have received my picture for the members for members collab which I will be starting work on soon vexelove.deviantart.com/journa…
Digital Paintings
I figured out how to shade!
I've actually gotten a lot better since then and I've also experimented with colour! I can now shade smoothly with minimal fuss. Next on the list of things to learn; perspective, colour theory, lighting, anatomy etc etc. There is so much to learn but I'm enjoying every second of it
As part of DA's 11th birthday celebrations they are holding a plethora of competitions and giveaways. I'm going to enter the Skribble contest personally, those prizes are making me drool. I'll be doing it as a digital painting, I won't win, but again it brings to the point that, competition gets me to push myself and pushing myself allows me to grow exponentially as an artist. ayame-kenoshi.deviantart.com/a…
Personal stoof
Well just the other day I had a massive breakdown So...that was fun
Good did come from it thought, I'm slowly sorting my shit out and getting all sorts of stuff sorted so yay
Dream job...crushed
Recently my fav company - Envato - opened up applications for an Online Community Officer. So I had a looky-loo at the requirements and all that jazz and...the job description fit me like a glove, it's essentially everything I'm good at, rolled up into a neat little bundle.
Long story short, I would have to travel 4-5 hours daily to work there, I love the company and the pay was awesome, but it would just take too much travelling, I would be bat-shit crazy by the end of my first week. Don't get me wrong, I very much doubt I would've actually gotten the job but I would've loved to try at least. All in all it made me a very sad Brodie
I think what really get's my goat is that, essentially, I could handle all of the work from my home since most, if not all of the work is based online. We could use skype for daily contact and I could travel up for meetings like once a week, twice even. That would be perfect! But I asked one of their employee's and he's confirmed that I would need to be at the office, every day
Conclusion
I'm tired so most of what I wrote above is probably iliterate garbage...ah well, shit happens.
I'll probably do some features and write some intellectual bullshit in an upcoming journal, but for now. I sleep....
